FAQs
Can you host live music? What’s the capacity?
Yes! We host concerts, showcases, and private gigs for up to 150 guests. Choose cozy indoor vibes or an open-air feel outdoors (weather backup included).
Do you provide sound gear?
We offer audio hookup access (fee applies)—easy power, basic patch-in to your mixer/PA, and venue cables as noted in our tech sheet. Bands/DJs may bring full rigs. Share your input list and we’ll do our best to confirm compatibility.
Is there a stage?
We have flexible performance areas. You can bring a riser or we can help you position a ground-level setup that works for your ensemble and crowd flow. There is an upper balcony area inside of the barn that could be used, and an outdoor stage used for ceremonies that can be used as a stage as well.
What are load-in/out and power like?
Ground-level access with nearby parking for quick load-in. Multiple power circuits near most of the performance areas; let us know your amperage needs so we can verify compatability.
What about sound limits and quiet hours?
We follow local sound guidelines and quiet hours. We’ll review your show plan (start/stop times, subs, outdoor use) and set levels/placement to keep everything compliant and enjoyable. Music must be turned down by 10pm due to residential proximity.
Can we serve alcohol?
We do not have a liquor license. You may apply for a special event liquor license/permit (where eligible). We’ll share venue requirements, but you’re responsible for obtaining permits insurance.
Do you require insurance or security?
For public or higher-attendance shows, we typically require COI (liability insurance) naming Red Rocks Barn as additional insured; security may be required depending on the event profile. We’ll outline this with your booking.
Can we sell tickets and merch?
Yes—ticketed events are allowed. DIY ticketing is fine; just coordinate door flow and wristbands. Merch tables are welcome (bring your own float, lighting, and display).
What’s included with the rental vs. extra fees?
Included: venue access during your booked hours, indoor/outdoor areas, standard power, parking, and on-site host support.
Add-ons/fees: audio hookup, extended hours/overtime, extra cleaning if needed, rentals (staging/lighting/linens), and any permit/security costs.
Any restrictions on haze, décor, or special effects?
No open flames indoors; LED candles only. Light haze may be allowed with prior approval (check detectors/venting). No glitter/confetti. Free-standing décor only (no nails/screws); big installs need pre-approval.
